Car Rider Pick-Up

The Berry staff supporting the dismissal process work hard to assure a safe and efficient process. All families that opt to utilize this curb side service versus riding the bus, PLEASE adhere to the policies that help support these efforts.

  • Winter Weather Berry Elementary follows the CCPS guidelines for weather safety and considerations for all outdoor activities, including arrivals/dismissals. If the county communicates potentially unsafe temperature or weather conditions (and the need to keep students indoors), we will hold all students in the lobby area and dismiss each student upon parent arrival in line. Your patience on these inclement weather days is appreciated. Our Car Rider administration and staff are both attentive and accommodating to any student need. Please note that while we cannot control the weather, we do our very best to offer safe and timely dismissal procedures. Your support is greatly appreciated.

As Always

  • Please have your CAR TAG visible for staff to see in order to call for your child to meet at a pick up spot. **If you do not have a car tag, please request one by emailing Ms. Baker and Mrs. Acevedo to provide this for you. (rabaker@ccboe.com and nacevedo@ccboe.com)
  • DO NOT pass any cars unless directed to do so safely.
  • DO NOT park and walk up to the portico area to drop off or pick up your child.
    • If waiting in the car rider line presents a challenge for you, please send your child by Bus.
    • You will be asked to use ID to gain access to the office and must sign out the child after being verified and cleared. Our dismissal staff cannot attend to unexpected pick-ups while also following appropriate safety protocol.
  • If someone other than a legal parent or guardian is picking up your child, please send an email or written permission, noting WHO will be picking the child(ren) up. Make sure that individual brings their photo ID to properly identify themselves. We will NOT release students to unauthorized adults without proper documentation.
