Reducing Anxious Feelings

Teaching students deep breathing techniques during the height of anxious feelings can be difficult. You can, however, show them how to operate a pinwheel (which will accomplish the same task). When a student exhibits anxious feelings, instruct them to blow on the pinwheel to make it spin. Without noticing, they will start engaging in deep breathing to calm down.

Core Value Program:

Charles County Public Schools partners with Chic Fila to sponsor a CORE Value program.  Each month we celebrate one student from each class that exhibits the CORE Value.   

The chosen student will attend the Chic Fila breakfast in the cafeteria where they will receive their certificate and take a picture for the display case.
