Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) today announces several administrative changes that will take affect for the 2024-2025 school year. All changes are effective July 1.
Anthony Carroll, principal at Mary B. Neal Elementary School, has been named principal at Mattawoman Middle School.
Carroll will replace Mattawoman Principal Sonia Blue, who will retire at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
Carroll’s move from Neal to Mattawoman takes effect with the 2024-2025 school year.
Michael Hoffman, principal at Mt. Hope/Nanjemoy Elementary School, will take over as principal at Mary B. Neal Elementary School. This change is effective with the 2024-2025 school year.
Gary Lesko, principal at Eva Turner Elementary School, has been named principal at Milton M. Somers Middle School.
Lesko will replace Somers Principal Sandra Taylor, who will retire at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
Lesko’s move from Turner to Somers takes effect with the 2024-2025 school year.
Announcements about principal selections for both Mt. Hope/Nanjemoy and Eva Turner elementary schools for the 2024-2025 school year will be made by CCPS later this month.
